Message from the Friends of St George’s (FOSG)

We organise a variety of fun-packed events throughout the year to raise money for our children’s school. We are a group of parents who volunteer and welcome any parents to join in and help out.

We have a Friends’ committee and being part of the FOSG is a great way to get to know other parents at the school and be involved in the St George’s School community. You can get involved in a variety of ways including joining meetings and coming up with new ideas, helping plan functions, preparing for Christmas/Summer fairs, running a stall, volunteering to help us whenever you can and coming along and enjoying the events we have organised. We are grateful for any help you would like to offer.

We’re thrilled to share this special moment from the lower playground, where The Friends committee gathered on the brand-new astroturf pitch — a fantastic addition made possible by the incredible fundraising efforts of our school community during the 2023–2024 school year. Every raffle ticket, cake sale, fair game, and donation helped bring this vision to life.

A heartfelt thank you to all the families, supporters, volunteers and to the Aquinas Trust for their support in bringing this project to completion. This space will be enjoyed by generations of St George’s pupils to come!
